Our Leadership

Jared Fuson
Interim President/CEO
In his previous role of COO, Jared Fuson oversaw Family Legacy’s operational activities to ensure the development and implementation of efficient systems, as well as organizational culture. He has provided specific supervision to Sponsorships, Finance, Human Resources, and Technology and Logistics.
Jared is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in the state of Texas, a Board Certified Coach, and has held various leadership roles in his career in various for-profit and faith-based settings. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at a national behavioral healthcare organization headquartered in Dallas.
Jared graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Communications and from Trinity Evangelical University with a MA in Counseling Psychology. He resides in East Dallas with his wife and three children.

Brad Guffey
Chief Medical Director
Brad Guffey is Chief Medical Director and is responsible for Family Legacy's health programs.
Prior to joining Family Legacy, he served on faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
Brad obtained a B.S. in Molecular Biology from Auburn University and his M.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His post-graduate work includes residency training in internal medicine and pediatrics and a combined fellowship in adult and pediatric infectious diseases.
His sending church is Church of the Highlands, and he and his family attend Lusaka Community Church in Zambia.

David Newman
Chief Relationship Officer
David Newman is the Chief Relationship Officer and is responsible for oversight of the Marketing/Communications and Short Term Missions departments, while also serving as a member of the Development Team. In addition, he assists the CEO as a liaison to the Zambian leadership team.
Prior to joining Family Legacy, he was the President of Newman Graphics, a division of ColorMark Printing located in Carrollton, Texas.
David has his Bachelors's degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
He is an elder at Park Cities Presbyterian Church and serves as Chairman of the Board at For the Nations Refugee Outreach.

John Fosdick
Vice President of Development
John Fosdick is the Vice President of Development and is responsible for the stewardship of the development team overseeing operations donations, gifts-in-kind, strategic partnerships, meal packing events, grants and capital funds.
Prior to joining Family Legacy in 2019, he worked in the data management software field in oil and gas, population healthcare and asset optimization performance. John also served as VP of Development for the College of Biblical Studies in Houston for 10 years helping to build this accredited institution.
John’s wife Janet is a volunteer for Family Legacy’s Sunshine Team distributing clothes at the Tree of life each year. Their family of 5 children have had the privilege of attending Camp Life and two of their daughters have been a part of the Summer Staff. John and Janet attend Houston’s First Baptist Church and both graduated from The University of Texas.

Andrew Knight
VP Technology, Information Systems
Andrew Knight is Vice President Technology, Information Systems and is responsible for data management.
Prior to joining Family Legacy, he served as Director of International Aid at Buckner International. Andrew has a Bachelor’s Degree in Russian Studies from Baylor University and a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University. He is a member of Community Life Church, Sunnyvale, Texas.

Danny Lightner
Integrated Programs Director
Danny Lightner is the Integrated Programs Director and is responsible program implementation and provides strategic leadership, guidance and technical support on strategy development, networking and partnership development with key government ministries, donors, NGOs and other relevant stakeholders in Zambia.
Prior to joining Family Legacy, he served as the Pastor of Adult Ministries and Discipleship at The Mission Church in Des Moines, IA. Danny has a B.S. in Bible and Pastoral Ministry from Lancaster Bible College (Lancaster, PA) and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (South Hamilton, MA).
He is a missionary/member of The Mission Church in Des Moines, IA (The Lightner family's sending church), but since their home base is Florida when they return to the USA on Furlough, they regularly attend McGregor Baptist Church in Fort Myers.

Chikondi Phiri
Country Director
Chikondi Phiri is Country Director and provides overall strategic and operational leadership of the ministry in Zambia while ensuring alignment with Family Legacy Vision, Mission, Core Values and strategy.
Prior to joining Family Legacy he served as Interim National Director for World Vision South Africa, Johannesburg.
Chikondi has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree in Leadership Development from Eastern University (PA, USA).
He is a member of Lusaka Baptist Church and Credit Committee Chairperson of VisionFund Zambia Microfinance Board.

Heather Munoz
Vice President of Human Resources
Heather Munoz is the Vice President of Human Resources and leads talent, culture, training, succession planning, and the employee lifecycle. She oversees the Make a Difference committee and instigates fun in the workplace. In addition, she serves as liaison to the Zambian HR team.
Prior to joining Family Legacy, she was the Vice President of Human Resources at a top Texas law firm with 15 locations. Prior to the pandemic, she also held a regional leadership role in Human Resources for Hilton and Marriott hotel properties.
Heather has a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Houston Honors College and an MBA from Baylor University. She is currently taking courses online at Dallas Christian College through Compass Academy.
Sunday mornings you will find Heather leading volunteers on the First Impressions Team at Compass Christian Church in Colleyville. She also serves on the Baptism Team with her husband Carlos. They have 4 college students and 1 high school student

Kelsey Lemmons
Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
As VP of Strategic Initiatives, Kelsey Lemmons identifies and drives strategic projects related to organization health, process improvement, and Board of Directors engagement. Her objective is to maximize Family Legacy’s redemptive impact through honest discussion and collaborative solution-building.
Prior to her time at Family Legacy, Kelsey worked as a strategy and management consultant at Bain & Company in Dallas, working across various industries including financial services, sports apparel, airlines, and healthcare to build client solutions related to performance improvement, market growth strategy, and technology transformation.
Kelsey graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Honors and Supply Chain Management. You can find her staying active, traveling, and spending time with her church community at Northway Church in Dallas.

Pam Stoker-Galster
Vice President of Finance
In her role of VP of Finance, Pam Galster oversees all of Family Legacy’s Financial operations and accounting to ensure the growth and development for the entire enterprise. She provides the vision, leadership, and development to her teams in Dallas and Lusaka, Zambia.
Pam received her JD from Loyola Marymount, Los Angeles, California and her accounting degree from Miami, of Ohio University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and California. Pam has served in various leadership roles in her career, recently serving as Board Chairperson of Gifts of Hope for Ascension Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks, California. Pam lives in Dallas with her Husband and their two cats Mercy and Grace and attends Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas.
