Near the end of 2009 we needed to raise $380,000 to bring electrical power to the Tree of Life Children’s Village. If we didn’t have electricity then we would be unable to build anymore houses for orphans because the existing solar panels could not power enough wells. In Zambia, it is not as easy as just tying into the existing power lines because the closest one to us was 2 miles away.

This video was shot by our Zambian AV team in early 2010 after a donor offered to match every dollar donated up to $100,000. About 30 days later, we raised all of the money needed to power up the Village.
