The River of Life Community Medical Center and Hospital will be the primary source of medical assistance for over 36,000 children and adults each year from the communities surrounding the Tree of Life Children’s Village.  The Center will consist of 6 examination rooms, two small surgery theaters, and bed accommodations for 12 patients overnight.  The River of Life Medical Center will seek to be a powerful force for change in the health and well-being of the children and adults of Zambia.

The River of Life Medical Center will be able to see at least 100 patients per day, 365 days per year. Everything from advanced medical care to basic preventative drugs and vaccinations will be offered at the Center.  The River of Life Medical Center will be staffed with both Zambian nurses and doctors as well as short-term and mid-term volunteer health care professionals from the United States.

A special emphasis will be placed on HIV/AIDS testing, counseling, and anti-retro viral medications. Family Legacy Missions International has already been in contact with the United States government with respect to receiving federal grants through the Presidential Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief to help pay for AIDS-related drugs once the River of Life Medical Center is opened.  We have already seen first-hand how medical treatment combined with a lot of doses of God’s love can work miracles in rescuing a dying life.
