The Family Life Community Homes will be a permanent house for 300 orphan children.  There will be 25 of these homes at the Tree of Life Children’s Village with each home caring for 14 orphans with a well-chosen and highly trained Godly Christian couple or adults serving as the “parents”.  Each home will have three bedrooms for the children with two sets of bunk beds each, a master bedroom for the parents, a kitchen, a family room, a dining room, and a front porch.

The 25 Family Life Community Homes will be arranged in five different “neighborhood clusters” with five homes in each cluster sharing a common courtyard with play equipment and a covered gazebo for “neighborhood” events with other “families” from other homes.  The Family Life Community Homes will be a haven of hope, love, and safety for those children who are the very neediest of all.

The first group of homes opened in the summer of 2009 to 60 children.  It is amazing to read the stories of these orphaned children who had so little, yet God provided them a new, safe home where they can flourish.  The very first house that opened at the Tree of Life was Lahema’s House. The money for each one of the houses was provided by individuals who wanted to build a house that would rescue orphaned children. They got together with friends and raised the money to build a house.
