We offer two add-on trips to CampLife: the Child Sponsorship trip as well as various African vacation side trips. You will have the option of adding one, both, or neither during the sign up process.
A sponsorship trip allows you the incredible opportunity to visit the home of one or more of your sponsored children and bring them gifts of food and other items. Alternatively, you may choose to host a “sponsorship party” at one of our Legacy Academies (for those who have multiple sponsored children) where you can eat, play, give gifts, and have fun together in a group setting. Since your sponsored children may or may not be available to join you at CampLife, a sponsorship trip is the perfect opportunity to make sure you are able to spend quality time with your sponsored child(ren). The sponsorship trip will be held the Saturday following your week CampLife.
The cost of the Sponsorship Add-on Trip is $500/person. This includes the food blessings for one child if you are doing a food drop OR 10 children if you are doing a party. During the CampLife sign-up process, you will be asked to indicate if you are interested in a Sponsorship add-on trip. If you select “yes”, you will be contacted by one of our Sponsorships Department team members to discuss the details of your sponsorship trip.
African Vacation Side Trip
The second kind of extension is an African Vacation Side Trip to one of several different and exciting tourist destinations either within Zambia or in nearby countries to Zambia. This trip extension typically happens BEFORE your week of CampLife, but it can be arranged to occur afterwards it that works better for your schedule.
Family Legacy handles ALL the details of this side trip for you. We work with the biggest and best travel agency in Southern Africa and have exclusively secured the BEST possible packages that maximize your experience of rest and relaxation along with a memorable African experience. We also work to make sure that this side trip is properly synchronized with your actual ministry week of CampLife, including the logistics of handling your CampLife luggage and other time critical, on-the-ground logistics of transportation and accommodations. As this is a strictly a personal vacation, this trip extension does NOT qualify as tax deductible.
