Isabelle St. Clair was a beautiful, spontaneous woman who believed God could accomplish big things. This was demonstrated when on April 12, 2013 she sent out an email to friends and family stating her desire to join Family Legacy’s Camp Life program which provided a Christian camp experience to children in Zambia. In order to go Isabelle needed $5100 and she had 3 days to raise it!!!
Obviously it was God’s plan for Isabelle to be a part of Camp Life because in 3 days He provided $5200!!! Isabelle boarded the airplane for Zambia 2 months later with 3 suitcases stuffed with supplies and a heart full of questions & apprehensions about how she would communicate and connect with these young girls. Isabelle wrote these words the night before her trip, “ …God reminded me of the breadth and height and depth of His love. The measures He would go to, the seemingly impossible He would make possible, the minute details He would sync perfectly to ensure that His will would be done. I have the privilege of witnessing His heart for the forgotten, the neglected, the abandoned and know that He loves them immeasurably. He loves them so much that He is sending strangers 5,800 miles around the globe to tell the little children that “yes, Jesus loves you” and I am living proof.”
That trip left a lasting impact upon Isabelle’s life. She came home excited and passionate for the ministry in Zambia and would speak about it to anyone who would listen. While this was the burden of her heart, God allowed a different set of circumstances to change Isabelle’s focus during the next year. On November 1, 2013 Isabelle St. Clair was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that eventually would metastasize into her brain, bone marrow, lymph nodes, spine, fluid & finally affect the liver, spleen and kidneys. Isabelle has always been a vibrant, passionate woman who put all her energy into anything she set her hand to. She fought cancer with all she had, but on Friday, September 12, 2014 Isabelle was able to rest in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Pain, suffering, treatments, and the fight against cancer ceased and she went to her eternal home free forever from the effects sin has upon our lives. Now Isabelle only knows true peace, love and the joy of being in the presence of the Lord.
Because of Isabelle’s love for Jesus Christ, her belief that He cares for the forgotten, and her passion for young girls, we desire to open a home in Zambia for young girls. It will be called Izzy’s House. This home will house 8 older girls who are transitioning into independent living. Isabelle would have LOVED this idea!! The cost for the building is $100,000 and $10,000 for the furnishings. After seeing how God instantly and miraculously provided the money Isabelle needed to go to Zambia, we do not doubt His ability to provide the $110,000 needed to fund this undertaking.
Thank you for partnering with us as we honor our precious friend—
