In Lusaka, buses are the main form of public transportation and it is a common sight to see blue buses filled with passengers all over the capital city. Family Legacy also uses these buses every year to bring around 8000 kids to Camp LIFE. In 2007, Family Legacy launched our Big Bus program.
Each donated Big Bus brings huge benefit to our ministry on the ground in Zambia.

| These buses are put onto regular bus routes generating income throughout the year. The income that is generated from one Big Bus is enough to endow 10 sponsorships through the Father’s Heart Program or 3 sponsorship at the Tree of Life Children’s Village. | We use the buses to bring thousands of kids to Camp Life from all over Lusaka. Each year we spend nearly $100,000 just in transporting kids to and from camp. The more buses we have, the fewer buses we have to rent which means even more kids can come to camp. | With enough vehicles we can make sure our staff is able to move around Lusaka to where they are needed most and move supplies to our Community Resource Centers and Lifeway Christian Academies. It also allows us to deliver food to kids and take them to doctor’s visits. |
