Doug Harrison serves Family Legacy Missions International as Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer. As COO, CFO, Doug is responsible for managing the financial reporting process for the U.S. and the Zambian operations as well as all tax reporting, cash management, HR and IT activities. In his role as COO, he manages the U.S. and Zambian operations including logistics, facilities, program metrics, and delivery systems. Doug is charged with identifying and driving efficiencies, establishing an infrastructure for growth and ensuring scalability of operations and finance as we continue to exponentially grow as a result of God’s provision for the orphans of Zambia.
Doug brings over 25 years of operational and financial experience to FLMI. Most recently he served as COO, CFO, co-founder and board member for Trinity Real Estate Solutions, a startup in the financial services industry providing specialized inspection services to banks, mortgage lenders and credit card companies . Prior to starting his own business, Doug served over 15 years in financial, operational, HR and IT management roles in various companies including Citigroup and Sprint. At Sprint, he served as a divisional controller where he led all financial operations for the $1.2 billion global telecom division.
Doug received his Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in 1986 with a major in Marketing and International Business. In 1988, he received his MBA in International Management from Baylor.
Doug has been married to his best friend Robin for almost 26 years. Both Doug and Robin met while they were attending Baylor University. They have two children, Allison and Will who were adopted from Guatemala in 2001. They currently live in Westlake, Texas and are active members at Southlake Baptist Church.
His life verse is, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”
