Our Zambian staff is very passionate about seeing the Gospel transform their city. They decided to hold Crusades all over Lusaka in order to share the love and saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. They went to a different area of Lusaka every night for a week and led worship and preached a powerful message of salvation to the people there. They got a chance to pray with and for the people in the communities where they work and had a great time playing with all the kids. The Crusades were a huge success and over 150 people came to know the Lord.
Holly and I had the privilege of attending the Crusade in the John Laing compound and we had a great time. There were hundreds of adults and children who showed up to hear the gospel. The great thing about
hanging out in Lusaka during the rest of the year is that to the kids, we remind them of every ambassador who has ever come to Camp LIFE. Every one of them asks us how you, their ambassador, is doing and if you are coming back to see them at Camp LIFE 2009. At every moment during the Crusade, we each had at least 40-50 children surrounding us.
I know that we sometimes come back to America and forget what is going on in Zambia, but when you go as a Camp LIFE Ambassador, you make an impact that lasts much longer than just a week or two in the summer.
And if you are a Camp LIFE Alumni, your kids wanted me to ask if you are going to come see them again in 2009?
