The theme song for Camp LIFE 2009!
Camp LIFE 2009 has mostly come to a close. We will continue to have camps in Lusaka and the remote areas throughout the year until we’ve given away every single backpack and Bible. We would like to thank all of the Ambassadors who gave up their time to come share the love of Christ with the orphaned and vulnerable children of Zambia. We also thank our Zambian staff for their endless devotion to these children and we ask that you pray for them as they continue to preach the love of Christ in the compounds of Zambia for the rest of the year. They will be daily in the field looking after and discipling your sponsored children.
Below is a video with highlights from all 8 weeks of camp this summer. Don’t forget signups for Camp LIFE 2010 start September 1st.
Last year Family Legacy adopted Lookout Center in Kabanana as our first community school, Lifeway Christian School – Kabanana. This year we are very excited that we were able to open SEVEN more schools in different parts of Lusaka. These schools are located in areas that have a desperate need for quality education for the children. In some areas the existing schools have closed their doors, while others insist on physically abusing their students. The Lifeway Christian Schools will provide the children with a safe place to learn from some of the best teachers in all of Lusaka. Four of the new schools will open this September while we work on getting the other schools ready to open along with the new school year in January.
In order to help our teachers we want to make sure every child has the best tools in class everyday. We need to collect 1000 backpacks filled with school supplies. We also need 15 sets of classroom supplies. This year as you are buying school supplies to send your own children back to school, consider buying a second or third set for the orphans of Zambia. Keep reading for details on how you can help.
